Precaution not Panic

One of Benjamin Franklin’s most remembered quotes is “An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.” This quote is a driving force in the mission of both Anthony Jacks Wood Fired Grill & Tavern 42. We care deeply about our guests and employees, and because we are in the midst of cold, flu & virus season…..we want you to know and assure you that we are adequately prepared to welcome you safely to our businesses.

As always, our entire team is taking our public health responsibility very seriously and not only maintaining, but now increasing our consistently high standards so that we can maintain your trust and patronage. Everyone’s health and safety is our first priority.

Firstly, our entire staff has been vetted regarding any potential exposure to illness, flu, etc. and contact they (or someone they have been in contact with) may have with a high risk individual or recent country visited. All of our employees have been required to sign off on an agreement in which they agree not to come to work if they (or someone they are in close proximity to) are sick or not feeling well. In addition, they have all been instructed regarding the high standard requirements of hand washing, not touching face, covering mouth, etc.

Although we have always prided ourselves in our clean and well run restaurants, both locations are actively increasing our normally high standard levels in proper hygiene management and training, and have upped our cleaning, disinfecting & sanitizing protocol regarding all aspects of the restaurant. This includes all cooking & eating utensils, surfaces, bathrooms, counter tops, floors, seating areas and other areas considered “high touch, high traffic areas.” There will be also extra hand sanitizer provided throughout the restaurant for use by customers and staff.

We are also in contact with our vendors and suppliers to ensure that they are adhering to all responsible and proper guidelines. In addition, ownership & management are constantly monitoring the guidelines from the CDC & WHO, as well as the local and state Health Departments and their recommendations. We will be updating our community with any new developments.

Finally, we would ask that if a community member is not feeling well or has a chance of spreading contagion, please consider the option of calling in your order ahead of time and we will gladly provide curbside take out and bring the food straight to your vehicle.
